COMPETITION

The 2015 Battered Moons Poetry Competition is now Closed.

Alongside Cristina Newton, Poetry Swindon organises the high profile annual BATTERED MOONS POETRY COMPETITION

The Battered Moons competition was the high point of my year, and my place in the comp and chance to meet David Morley was the result of your prompt in 52. The whole Swindon Poetry Festival was an absolute joy!  Sarah Watkinson

The competition was started six years ago by Cristina Newton and Swindon Artswords and became a national competition in 2012.

It has had a privileged trajectory, with the collaboration of judges Martin Malone and Lesley Saunders in the first two years, Michael Symmons Roberts in 2012, Alice Oswald in 2013, David Morley in 2014, and Pascale Petit in 2015.
